Remove a grow kit from its box?

Hi guys,

I have read through a lot of old posts and know that none of you like grow kits, and Im pretty sure Id have a go at my onw PF tek next tiime, but have a couple of grow kits to get me going.

What Im wondering is, should the kits be reomved from their boxes, I have just removed the lids so far. They have been in the terranium with perlite for a few days and I have a bit of fluff on the top of the vermiculate, but it looks like most of the mushrooms are trying to grow at the sides, but they cant get through cos of the container. If I did take them out the container which way up should they be placed. Should I tip them so that the kits sit on the layer of vermiculate that is currently at the top? Has anyone had any experience with these kits, the ?25 jobs?

Yes its better removed from the container and placed onto some sort of tray.That way you increase the surface area for pin formation.Try to keep it the same way up on the tray as well imo.
