Spongiform's Plastic tek is sick. Fahk's How to post pictures in the shroomery is a helpful link also. Damion50/50's coir tek is great. Any post by myco.alchemist. Just click on this mysterious users name and then click on show all posts. Do I need to mention any post by RR?
This thread isn't as popular as the rest of the links posted previously or as the members who posted them. This thread gains about 40-50 views a week on average and is posted by yours truly. Somebody is out there looking at it. Preparing Rye Grains/Berries for Sterilization in Your Pressure Cooker!
Teks and threads that personally got me going are as follows. FastFred's Media cook book. http://www.shroomery.org/9393/FastFreds-Media-Cookbook What are Some Good Agar Media Recipes. http://www.shroomery.org/5243/What-are-some-good-agar-media-recipes High Quality Liquid Culture; Step by Step http://www.shroomery.org/9378/High-Quality-Liquid-Culture-Step-by-Step Doc's Wild Birdseeed Tek http://www.shroomery.org/9030/Docs-Wild-Bird-Seed-Tek
To break the monotony of this post. Here is a look at this mornings Orissa India pinset research project experiment. Which is relevant because these genetics are from a fellow shroomerite.
I am currently spawning Shiitakes to cherry wood chips for an outdoor Shiitake bed(s). The thread that inspired me to do outdoor beds is Deva1's Hot for Teacher thread featuring Golden Teacher spawned to an outdoor bed. http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/4563577/fpart/all/vc/1 The tek I am using is FAHK'S EASY WOOD LOVERS CULTIVATION TEK for Shiitakes. http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/11774724/page/1/fpart/all/vc/1 Instead of preparing pf jars I prepared quart sized rye grain jars instead.
This is quite the personal question, george castanza. No matter. It is what it is and I answered it, so.
Further more, since we are on the topic of constructive criticism, I would like to add that there are too many stickies at the top of the mushroom cultivation page. Please remove a sticky or two. The stickies take up half the front page in the mushroom cultivation forum. More than any other forum on the shroomery.

Volume calculator in FEET http://www.dep.state.pa.us/dep/deputate/waterops/redesign/calculators/volcalchtm.htm
Calculating from INCHES LxWxH in inches then multiply .55 (the amount of fl oz in a square inch) then divide that number by 128 (the amount of fl oz in a gallon) to get an accurate amount of volume for the space.

Mushroom Growing Made Easy.
It allowed me to go 7/7 cakes without a single contamination on my first try.
It's incredibly detailed, and was a wonderful video to accent all of the great information on this site.

Great video to give the newbie an idea of what they are going to do, but some of the information is not right on point (iko).
I have taken the liberty of making these notes:
1. Shaking jars every few days is not recommended.
2. Incubation information is not quite accurate.
3. Drying information is not accurate.
4. Cubenis is mostly grown with rye berries NOT rye seed. Although it does appears that rye berries are used in the video, they are referred to as rye seed.

Great stuff. This thread is very informative and help me sort out things from scratch. As newbie in gardening, I am still adjusting and soliciting ideas from other experts on how to grow mushrooms in a perfect manner. Now little by little I internalized some of the advise.
Thanks guys. I will continue follow this thread for my learning.
