Spawning

15 quart tray of pasturized compost & spawn jars of WBS

Dump out spawn into tray.

Mix in evenly - side to side & top to bottom.

Cover with cling wrap & poke a pattern of needle size holes in cling wrap for some gas exchange. Then, incubate around 84F in total darkness.

4 days later 50 + % colonized. Cling wrap was not removed, so pic is somewhat distorted by water drops on it.

It is a "bus boy" tray (resturant supply places cary them @ around $3 each -wholesale). They are thick tough black plastic w/carry handles, constructed to take lots of abuse.

This one measures about 20 long X 16 wide X 5 inches deep (the Racoon just guestimate quart capacity). It was filled with compost to within 3/4 inches of the top, leaving only room for the addition of a 3/4 to 1 inch casing layer to fill it completly, when applicable.

6T whats up my friend? Is that compost your own? I tried with it but it stalled out I think it was do to the verm I used it was really fine and I didnt use much. But I am About to try again.
