Question about torrenting movies..

I just torrented a movie. And when i play it, it brings up wmp and just plays the audio with a visualizer.
Is there something im doing wrong?
I'm usuing utorrent.
I've never torrented a movie before.

It could be a bad copy but you more than likely need the codec whoever ripped it used.

File's probably corrupted, try downloading it again from a different source, that or try another media player, VLC is the shit.

Don't use windows media player lol. Go with VLC it'll play anything.

I've haven't found a video file that it cannot play...I'm still waiting for that moment haha

It will even play partially downloaded files and repair damaged video files. Watching porn at half speed is nice too. It's like the girls drunk and being date raped

as far as i know you cant from vlc. but for bittorrent i use vuze its got built in dvd burning and video streaming its as simple as drag and drop.

If you don't want to use VLC just download the k-lite mega codec pack and you can play any video file in any player including WMP

I shy away from the codec packs. You really should only use the codecs you need and not load up a crap load of them. I always had problems back in the 98 and xp days(p to 6 months ago) after installing packs.
Really the only thing I ever use is VLC and whatever new win media player is out. Seems like after installing vlc everything works everywhere... including the windows media player. 
If I need to download a codec pack it is or was usually the xvid codec and maybe ffdshow.
