What do they have in common, what do they have different? Im trying to decide if its really worth it to smoke American spirits rather than other brands. i smoke occasionally, so im not sure if its any safer.

i was told by a tobacco man at the cig shop that american spirits are made by camel's brand, so it was not to be trusted as an all natural cig.
i always liked spirits cuz they last so long.

I've heard a lot people say American Spirits are less addictive. I rolled my own for about 2-3 months and had no trouble quitting, but I wasn't a smoker before that so I don't know if there's a difference

having cut my tobacco intake by 75% and NOT having fucked up headaches or bad dreams, or any of the other shit associated with withdrawal, the additive free cigs are leaps and bounds easier to quit or use a means to quit. having smoked marlboro exclusively from 18 - 24, they gave me an awful hack and i was always sick, i switched to american spirit lights and really the only addiction is the hand mouth fixation, easily replaced by a joint.

Huge difference. My buddy left me a pack of Camel Wides from when he went out drinking the other night. Wides are a cigarette I enjoyed several years back. I've smoked American Spirits though for 3 or 4 years now(Organic Lights nowadays). If you're used to Spirits, when you smoke an additive laden thing like a Camel(especially the Royal Turkish Magic, Golds this and thats, ugh, extra additives) it's fucking nasty. The smoke tastes bitter and hurts your throat more and smells like shit. The smoke has something about it that's just wrong or dirty. Like the difference between a good stimulant and something like pseudoephedrine. It leaves a bitter taste on your lips too that unadulterated tobacco does not. And yes it's more addicting and less satisfying and just way shittier in general. Try smoking Spirits for six months than have a marlboro. It will be terrible.

They are equally as hard to quit. RYO tobacco IMO is easier to quit than premade cigarettes. They all taste like shit though, but trying to smoke a safer cigarette doesn't make any sense to me.

the FDA approves 599 chemical additives to cigarettes, smoking all natural tobacco is still pretty unhealthy, but its a bunch less unknown chemicals you're dumping into your body

A couple people have said this now but I found my smoking ramped up more than ever when I was rolling. The process and satisfaction of hand rolling just makes the routine that much more prevalent
With the organic Spirits, I only smoke 2 or 3 a day average and find that satisfying. When I was rolling, it was probably triple that and most conventional smokes burn half as long as a Spirit and the smoke is somehow far less satisfying, so yeah you probably end up smoking more(plus there's the additive jones).

As the poster above said, Po-210 and Pb-210 have been found in common cigarettes. These radioactive chemicals are thought to come from the fertilizers used on the tobacco.
Natural American Spirits Organic cigarettes don't use fertilizers and don't have those chemicals.
In reality, this probably only makes them marginally better, but when I smoked... I smoked Organic Lights myself. (And they were getting expensive toward the end of my habit.)
