No leathers. I rememeber nothing not one single thing. I was having a beer at the bar then two days later I'm in nero-trauma icu. I heard the docs talking about me this morning. Pretty gross. I do recall  the words 'blunt force tramau to entire face'. My teeth hurt.....ugh.

Wow bro, for someone who just had severe blunt force trauma to the entire face you seem in a positive disposition about it. Must be all the opiates and pain-killers you're on? lol
I'm sorry that you had to experience this, by the way. It's a kick in the ass like this that really makes people realize how temporary and fragile our vessels are.

Get yourself a full face helmet my good friend, not one of those cheap ones that you see most harley bikers wearing.

See that gayness there?  It doesn't look cool, it doesn't protect you, and there's no cushioning so when your face hits that hard object after you fall it still implodes.

That's the shit you want, it'll keep you from breaking your neck in a fall as well as keep your head intact.  Easier to repair your body than your head.

you keep fooling yourself, my brother's 19th birthday we got a call that
my cousin was killed on a motorcycle, he just bought the bike and had to
borrow a helmet from the guy... hew layed the bike down because a semi
was blocking a blind intersection with no lights on, the tire of the
bike clipped one on the truck and it sent him into a ditch where his
helmet connected with a utility pole

the front of the helmet shattered, the pole took the lower half of his
face off, now what the helmet did was what it was supposed to do, kept
his brain inside his skull, injuries to his face and neck were all there
were, abrasions on his hip, elbow and knee but no internal injuries and
no broken bones... he'd been riding since he was a young kid, 3 or 4
years old, his speed was 40mph, 5 over the posted speed limit and it was
a DOT rated full face helmet

they can spare you some brain damage but dont count on them to be
anything more than a brain bucket when the EMTs collect the pieces

Wow pris, this is something you painfully know a thing or two about.

it happens ya know... but for every fatality there is there's 100,000 that
arent. I dont allow myself to be fooled by the pretense of life saving,
steel toe boots aint doing shit if a couple of tons of steel drops on your
toe, in fact it could shear them off, a hard hat my protect your head from
a hammer on a ladder or a bolt from 20 stories but when that 90lb knee
brace hits it from the 5th floor you're going to feel it if only for a second

1/8" of fiberglass and 3/4" of foam... it'll spare you some trauma

Pris, you and I could have have brought the OSHA guy to quit his job. I have no doubt. One day me and you buddy, on tour, taking peoples safety blankets away!

Here's the video. It sucks. You can't see the ear gore and you can barely see my back incision. Gimme time my children.

I'm still in shock that pris isn't the douche bag I had him made out to be in my mind. Whata mind fuck.....

Well, if you connect your face with a utility poll the size of that gap, that sucks, you're probably going to die, but if you lay your face down on concrete, if the helmet functions properly your face shouldn't be smashed into bits.

Think about what it woulda been without the helmet. he'd have been killed without the helmet as well, certain cases are acceptions.

In RP's case, he probably skidded his face and the side of his head along the concrete hance the loss of his ear and facial trauma.

I am getting some pretty dope whore baths. I totally popped a chum in this girls hand the other night while she washed me. She just kept washing and I just let it go lol. No happy ending but it felt damn good.

The dope sucks. I can't get any pain relief to speak of. Hopefully I'll be on rehab on a day or two then home in a week or two. Then I'll feel fine.

Being around these beautiful nurses I've been so glad I have no ol lady. My 'ex'wifr came for a few days when I was still in icu. I ran het off lol. She sucks.
