Only oxicontin for meds. I was getting diladid iv for a couple days and the first couple days till I woke up I was on 24 fentynanal drip. It shut my kidneys down but boy was it good. I'm still on dialysys. Hopefully the old filters are about to work on their own again. Ugggggggghh I want a cig!

Good thing you lived though man.  I've lost a close childhood friend to an accident about those speeds, as well as a girl I knew in highschool.  Motorcycles aren't toys, despite that everyone who gets one treats it as a toy.

Sorry to hear that pris.

On my phone I play he'll with pics, gimme a minute. By far the worst part of having 6 vertebrae fused together is now you have 6 shitty vertebrae, not just a couple.

RP, please tell me you never plan on getting on a motorcycle again? Like DRTMav said, there are way too many people who treat them like they are toys and end up in the hospital or six feet under. I know a few guys that died before they hit 21. Anyway, glad to hear you survived and didn't harm anyone else. Best wishes on the recovery.

I never stop riding I just have to be more careful.

Hopefully rehab starts this weekend so I can get it over with and get home. I do need it though. I can barely make it to the bathroom now and I need everywhere I go because my back just locks up and I fall, no way to stop it. Fucking scary.

Just always be careful from now on when it comes to bikes.  You got your ONE lucky strike, most people don't even get that.  Last thing any of us want to do is come online and hear something tragic has happened to a member, no matter what the incident was.

Hope your physical therapy goes well man!

I'm not trying to be an asshole but you sound like an idiot. You are lucky to be alive, you have to go through intensive rehab, and currently can barely walk or make it to the restroom. You described it perfectly when you said it was "fucking scary".

I never intend on riding a motorcycle. However, I'm really trying to understand your logic because I've met a lot of riders like you. Is riding akin to an addiction? Do you get some high from it that keeps bringing you back? I truly am curious about this.

It's a thrill and almost a sport.  At a track it is a sport.

It's like hitting a tree when you ski.  You might get a concussion and a broken colarbone and ribs, maybe an arm if you don't kill yourself from the impact, but I know something like that wouldn't stop me from riding.  <3 skis.

Motorcycles are economical and better for the planet. I love bikes simply because of these things. My determination to ride is the same as any of you refuse to let an accident decided your future. The same accident in a car or truck would have likely killed multiple ppl. I just need to not drive like an asshole, simple.

I don't remember any of it so it's hard to give an injury list. I woke up with a back full of staples from the back surgery. That is my most prominent injury, 6 fused vertebrae. C1-7 which left my left arm 90% paralyzed. The docs expect all paralyzed limbs to make a full recovery. The fentynal shutdown my kidneys, so the docs think. Holy shit I tasted that shit as soon as I woke up, twas nice.

I have a new ear that is way cool. I can barely walk. I've never been this hurt, ever.

Okay last question. Why were you going 90mph on a motorcycle?

I get the economics of having an bike. However I live in Ohio, so they are only useful 8 months out of the year. In the end the safety factor is enough to deter me. My buddies always argue "motorcycle accidents aren't caused by motorcyclists, they are caused by car/truck drivers not paying attention". Which may or may not be true. But the driver of the auto will be much less likely to die than the driver of the motorcycle.

Again, good luck on your recovery.
