Trying to identify a strain of pot... who wants to help? Were you in Northern Cal in the late 90's?

I'm hoping that some of you were around in Northern California in the late 90's. The type of pot that I had was orange, smelled really dank and sweet/strong, not greeney smelling weed, if that makes any sense. It just had a real nice orangey look to it. Any ideas what it could be?

While everyone is here, I was hoping you all could identify what my coke was cut with. It was in central California in the early 00s. It was white and powdery, not iridescent and clumpy like the good stuff. It looked white. It came in a baggie.

Why is it dumb and pointless? If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all.
EDIT: don't you have any nostalgia for certain strains? Isn't there a reason that people prefer certain strains over others? Thanks buddy

It's pointless because it is impossible to properly identify that strain from the information you've given us, man.

I wish that you guys knew what I was talking about, and that I had a better way to describe it. It was just the best pot I've ever had, and there was a lot of it around, back then. Around the Fair Oaks area of Sacramento in the late 90's. It's kind of like how they talk about OG Kush's, these days, being the best from the 213 area code. That's just how it was for me, back then... but it wasn't a marketing gimmick or anything. It was just the best weed.
Here's a snippet from a menu down here in LA: 50 / 190 / 375 Fire O.G. Kush (H/I) True OG Kush (H/I) Sour O.G. Kush (H/S)
55 / 215 / 430 Fresh OG Kush (H/I) 818 OG Kush (H/I)
60 / 230 / 460 The REAL 213 O.G. Kush!!!:001_tt1: (H/I)

In terms of smell was it a diesel type of smell? That strong scent that almost smells like gasoline that just makes you sort of pucker your face because it is so strong?
These threads are pointless because it is pretty much impossible to narrow down your search and find the actual strain you were smoking more than a decade ago. Furthermore people just throw out random strain names that somewhat match your description without really having a clue if that is what it is or not. Honestly look at that description you first posted, how many types of buds (not to mention do you know how many unnamed buds are hybrids of two popular strains)? How do you know you weren't getting some unnamed dank from a local grower who crossed something together that you'll never have a clue in hell of what it was when you get down to the genetics of the strain.

One time I smoked this bud, it came in a big zip lock baggie and it was green and crystally, really dank shit, pungent odor. I got my very high. Anyone know what strain it was?

Typed a witty response then backspaced all of it, realizing how pointless and nonsensical this thread is.
So I'm just posting to reinforce that notion.

I definitely thought the op was trolling at first.
There is absolutely no way we could identify a strain for you. In fact you can't even identify a strain if its right in front of you. You have to get the weed or seeds from a reliable source that tells you the strain.
