Can I Save This Cake?
    #1343184 - 02/28/03 02:00 PM (21 years, 1 month ago)

The cake is almost fully colonized, it just has a little bit more of the bottom to go, but I just found about a sqare centimetre of blue contam, it is just a tiny mark. Should I cut off the very bottom uncolonized part with the contam and then put it in a terrarium?

Dont cut it out. Its probably not contaiminated. Both of my cakes have some blue ares. Its probably just the pinning/fruiting cycle that does it. Do you have pics?

when i use chunkier rice and verm substrates i would notice a lot of time the rice grains would get a little blue. Nothing to be worried about.

Just keep an eye on it and see if it spreads. Most like just some oxidation.
