ummm, maby you misred. this has nothing to do with rain. ive been using scotts 3in1 compost and hay for my outdoor patches. now i want to start a new one with cow shit. its dry cow shit so should i just crumble it into the patch dry, or get it wet again like fresh cow shit.

i think this may be the one flaw in Moe's outdoor tek . sorry Moe .
i would pasteurize the poo, if for no other reason then to kill insect eggs .

I would wet it just a little to give it a nice moist texture... cow poo is fun

Yes, wet it, then squish it around in your hands alittle bit... get the earthly smell of the fecal matter, let it flow between your fingers, roll around in it and feel the grain of the feces on your neck and chest, and if really looking for fun, have a cow fece fight!

 ehehe

the point is, by killing their eggs before hand i stand a better chance of keeping those pesky little buggers out of my garden . :smirk: an ounce of prevention... as it were . jm .02

if you pasturize the poo it will likely have a good moisture content as well as pretty much guarentee that your mycelium is what colonizes it.
