Man Mistakingly Calls Crime Stoppers Tipline Looking For Drugs
BUFFALO, NY-- Two people are under arrest for drug related charges after a man inadvertently contacted the Crime Stoppers tipline Monday afternoon asking to be "hooked up" with some drugs.
Erie County Sheriff Senior Detective Alan Rozansky received the call, answering the phone with "Crime Stoppers".
The caller didn't seam to hear Rozansky and continued to ask him if he could "hook me up" with some drugs.
Sr. Detective Rozansky played along with the caller and arranged a meeting in the parking lot of a restaurant a short time later.
Undercover narcotics detectives arrived and questioned the suspect. They discovered that a local woman was allegedly selling a prescription of Suboxone.
A short time later, detectives witnessed a drug transaction take place in the parking lot of a restaurant in Cheektowaga between Hank Salisbury, 27 of Buffalo and Tracy Tarsey, 35, of Depew.
Investigators say Tarsey sold a quantity of her own prescribed Suboxone to Salisbury.
Both were taken into custody. Tarsey was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, and for having a prescribed substance out of its original container.
Salisbury was also charged with having a prescribed substance out of its original container.
Tarsey was taken to the Erie County Holding Center pending her arraignment. Salisbury was issued an appearance ticket.
Suboxone is used for treating heroin addicts.

Its not a federal crime, but in many states it is illegal to carry drugs outside of their original container. I don't understand how fentanyl patches are legal tbh if they are being worn.

its like possessing the drug but having it in your system...as if you ate a pill and it was prescribed to you.
