Tripping can be a life-changing experience and since it's got such negative propoganda, when you have that experience, it's hard to relate and discuss it with most people. You can't really blame the guy, tripping is awe inspiring and fills you with wonder. Just look at what one trip did to Timothy Leary's life.
This is exactly where I am in life right now. I have decided to just keep my mouth shut and revel in my experiences, but rumors are being spread about me haha!
Most people in my life would NEVER suspect that I dabble with psychedelics, so they make it this huge deal when they find out. In this light, it is rather difficult to keep a low profile :/ Oh well.

I see what you're trying to do OP, and it really is friendly and mature. But in all honesty no one should stop anyone else from altering their conscious, even if it ends in their self destruction!

Okay, maybe thats a little too far, but you could always be there when he trips and help him out if need be. Don't stand in his way, it will just irritate him more. What he needs is moooooooooooar shrooms!

I agree. If he's so eager to go back, let him. I don't think people truly grasp the power of psychedelics until they experience both good and bad trips.

Sounds as though your friend has an obsessive personality, but from what you've stated, I wouldn't be alarmed.
After all, many of us on the Shroomery are a little consume with our experiences aren't we.

i don't know what to tell ya. some people just enjoy it mroe than others. some people i've tripped with have had bad trips then trip with me and i show em a good time on it. thus they're whole thinking about it is changed forever. other people hate tripping, and it takes them to an overly emotional place where the things they realize they weren't ready for. lol..im a bit like your friend. i could talk all day about psychedellics and why i love them and what id like to experience with them and how, etc... etc... also i do have an obsessive personality a bit too. and i have addiction running in my family. so once i enjoy something... i do it again, and again,,,and again. at one point i did it so much they lost there magic ( for a short while). ..yet to try dmt...its on my list of things to do...lol...just got a car again. so my lifes back in semi-order. i think ill try and trip in my near future...as a reward of sorts possibly, and to reflect upon myself as to where im at
