Ok, since I don't know enough to know what you did wrong, if anything...
-Did you make the hole all the way through the cake?
-I didn't think you were supposed to fill the hole with vermiculite, just kinda cover it up, then push a straw into it after birthing. You then inject the water into the straw, and it'll slowly (as in, over a few days) lower and lower as the cake absorbs it.

I think 10cc is just too much. Just inject however much it will hold.

I think it has to do with the resevoir getting colonized. My buddy had the same thing happen. He is going to slice the cakes after they are done producing to see if this is true.

If done correctly (or by luck in general) the inner-reservoir Tek can increase flushes dramatically. My friend has used it once, and what you describe is a normal occurence. When my friend noticed water collecting at the top of the injection site of the cake, he would pull the needle out a bit. The water would usually be absorbed at this point. He would continue in this manner until each cake had 10cc's worth of H20 in them

How much are your cakes leaking exactly?

BTW, here are my friends results from using the Inner Reservoir Tek with the "Allen" strain (he highly recommends the strain):

play Voodoo with a syringe and inject sterile water with a syringe into several places in the cake.
Make it look like you used the cake as a pin cushion.
You will increase your yeild on your 1st and 2nd flushes...and the 3rd flush will be smaller.
I throw my cakes out after the 3rd flush.

Hi Roadkill! Did you play voodoo with your cakes when you got 8g per flush way back when you did the inner reservoir, or did you inject directly into the reservoir?

hi...mega

I injected 10cc to 20cc of purified water at birth with a sterile syringe.
Yes I injected into different areas of the cake.
You will see water start to seep out of the cake....move on to another spot on the cake.

Then repeated every other day...using less water...10cc will do.

You need to be careful an not inject water very often or you will have a tower of mush and contams...I will not ever do inner resevoir cause the yield wasnt very good and its really a hassel :wink: when preparing not ta mention the mush/contam factor. I think Roadkill was just injecting at birth only so ya might want to ck with him cause i am just one of his disciples...
