casing valleys

Hey I know it says to initate pinning when mycelium starts poking through the valleys in numerous locaions. Well, whats would constitute numerous? 5? 10?
50?

My friend usually waits until it is poking up in patches throughout the casing.

seriously,  when you have patches evenly throughout the casing you can then fruit it and get a good pinset.

from my experience with edibles i would say wait untill there is a good amount of colonization before casing, when u case u want whats underneeth(sp?) the casing layer to be poretty much colinized so that it just takes over the casing and then grows, hope that helped
