has tragedy struck the cakes?

If someone where to follow the illustrated mushroom growing guide and has sterilized, inoculated, incubated, and uncased their cakes a week ago (Which are not pinning at all yet) should he/she be worried?

also, it appears that part of the cakes are drying up or the mycelium is moving to more concentrated in different areas, it doesnt look like contamination, but some areas of the cake have become more concentrated with mycelium than others, is this a problem; he knows the humidity is high enough, they mist their cakes, and give them new air.... does anyone have any advice?

Patience young grasshopper... just make sure the humidity stays above 95% and keep giving it air exchange. The mycelium builds up just before it starts to pin.
