Is Watering Cakes while they grow OK!
    #1342580 - 02/28/03 10:50 AM (13 years, 9 months ago)

My friends cats ass was watering his cakes while they grow and bigin pinning.
HOW? well the cakes have 100% coco fiber on the top which has somewhat been colonized

So he takes his syringe and fills it totally then Carefully sprays the tops and the bottoms, 1 syringe of water Per Cake. Ive done the past 2 nights to em.

Is this cool?? he tried the straw tek but didnt really have a drill to make the whole so we re-routed to my syringe-spray tek.

Good / Bad ?? voice your opinion if you've experienced.

prolly is cool, pf has a thing on his sight, some people take drinking straws, and put them into the top of the cake, with the end going to the middle, then they inject water into the straw, and by the pics at pfs sight, it does wonders, like dunking only not as good as dunking.

If your technique is right you can put a straw into a potatoe.

Just inject your cakes with 10 cc's of sterile water.

are you saying i dont need to actually drill the whole, i can just carefully press it inside the cake?

but then see im just watering that one spot>.< i wouldnt really be watering the inside if no hole is made through or in the cake .

The reservoir tek is a better idea, but, yes. Wait, why do you think you're cakes are so dry. Do you have any knots/pins? Do you think you could dunk/cold shock in the fridge?

The cake will absorb the water if you just stick it in there.

The inner resevoir tek is supposed to be done when you make the cakes, before they colonize. You use a straw or pen to make the hole before PCing, then after birthing, a straw goes in where the hole is now.

it wouldnt work if you shake the jars at any point, plus trying to keep the hole open with plastic while PCing is a bad idea....may melt the plastic....cut a straw in half, place thumb over the end and stab the other end into the cake....release the thumb, then reapply thumb and pull...it may remove the core, it may not....doesnt matter, just reinsert the straw and fill with water

I didn't say leave the straw in - in fact, I said put it back in after birthing.

I don't care how sketchy it sounds to you, it works.

The vermiculite, BRF and water have the consistency of wet clay, so it'll stay in place. It works.
