That is AMAZING psylo
I gotta add - once you got stem butts or colonized woodchips - spread them OUT - - - -- today i finally just found 4 nice "wild" azure fruits from a spot in some natural woods i threw some spawn last fall they should have natural wood to eat and THRIVE off of for yrs This could be the start of my dream of "almost wild" azures in some wicked woodlands

man THANKYOU
Had one spot started 2 falls ago - and the others were started last fall
i find these azures need to be planted and grow in the environment - survive atleast 1 winter - then next fall they show fruits
Get some going man - woodlovers are SOOOOO easy and SOOOOO rewarding

ya my Azzie bonsai is fully colonized but i am not sure if it will fruit this year. i sure hope it does!!Quote:
Cerebreich said: How much (and maybe how big) of a spore print got scraped into the solution? Did you actually spray them with a sprayer of some kind or did you just go and dump it out from water bottles or something? Also, how much solution was "sprayed" onto each patch?
Sorry for the questions. It's just good to make sure people can reproduce the results.
Stamets recommends ike a fuckin tea spoon of spores!!! thats alot, but i usually use about 4 prints per container. or if i only have one i use one.
i really gotta get boiling today and make up some broth!!

Pine won't work... unfortunately. The odd species like maybe pelliculosa could work. The other thing is if perhaps you boiled the hell out of them to simulate many years of degradation but even then I'm not sure.

To hell pine wont work,Ive found multible patches in yrs past were the Cyans were Groweing off of Conifer Chips,I've found cyans just last season growing off decaying Either Jeffery or pondarosa Pine Branches that were overgrown with grass,A couple yrs ago I found Cyan growing directly off of a Pinecone chip it self,So I see no reason Y I couldn't use these conifer shavings for spawn Jars??

Oh shi- Spring is a no go for lc and spores unless you want to wait through a fruitless season, I'm guessing? Spring is just when you would put colonized woodchips into the ground?

i spray in the fall when spores would naturally be dropping, and then i spray in the spring too when temps were the same. and yes, then i put out the mycelium ive ran all winter as well. but i am not against making patches in the early fall too.because they naturalize through out the year and are usually gauranteed fruiters the first year.
all this ghetto tek suff takes patience. but it costs fuck all and you recycle tons of cardboard .

This thread is amazing. I've learned tons it is well worth reading the entire thing.
I've got 3 jars of of cardboard and stem butts off to a good start as well as a patch of alder chips I put down last year that finally have some mycelium growing.
Can't wait to start inoculating every hospitable bed of chips in town!

I stand corrected then, from everything I have ever read, pine is not their preferred habitat. Does anyone find them growing out of pine chip beds?
At least not fresh pine as I mentioned above by boiling it to shit you would mimic a few seasons of washing and leaching the sap out. I have heard fir works though. But I highly doubt that you can lay the pine shavings down, inoculate with LC and then get a bunch of fruits next season. If someone could get it to work that would be awesome.

I have seen pictures of cyanescens growing from decayed black berry briers, I have seen there mycelium covering a rotten mango seed. I have heard they will grow on rotten bamboo and decayed Ice plants, I have seen them grow on bird seed! They are tough fucker! I would look for a place that will not get disturbed by people or animals that has plenty of decayed organic material of almost any type. Cyanescens = Hardcore
