Habitat: Seemed to be growing in grass but really in the soil I think. PNW - Oregon
Gills: Rusty Orange, attached, gilled
Stem: Length 4 inches, diameter 1/2 inch end to end, color Rust Orange, Seems solid and thick
Cap: Diameter 5 inches from end to end, color rusty orange, texture: feels smooth,
Spore print color: Printing now, Seems it will be a rusty orange from the looks of it, Will update.....
Bruising: none noticable, It was kicked over before i found it so if there was any I missed it.

I dont think close enough to have any wood in the growing medium. Looking at the the volva seems to be covered in soil. Found in grass really but pulled out of soil......

It looks kinda like P. involutus, but not quite. And a tree can grow roots 100 feet away from the trunk sometimes, so you really never know if it was mycorhizzal or not.
