Reason (will upgrade as soon as I remember...)
cubase x (if i learn...)
soundforge

m4D L337 zK1LLz: www.couchwarrior.cjb.net
best song from my site i think would be sootherator, but c11h17no3 and tryptaminery are ambient and perhaps better references for this compilation..
i think my part will be ambient, and that's diehard beatless synth ambient...

this is not really a song, just a weird little clip I recorded with my guitar and some neat little toys. again, this was just something I made as a test of the equiptment, and it is not ment to be a coherent whole, just something off the cuff. there is no mixing, the quality is horrid, but It gives some slight insights to my style. Plus It is the only thing I have recorded so far.

I used a Modified mexican Fender Stratocaster, A PODxt (guitar direct recording thingy), and cakewalk music studio 2003 (the cheapist recording software thay had at the store)... so here it is: Bite My Ass

I'll do some more recording soon, but latey I have been rather uninspiered to learn how to use the program correctly

Tewls:

this is from a post awahile back,
as always it is just my Opinion.

the BEST tool for recording digital audio is the Pro Tools_24 sys
the 2nd best would be a Powermac G4, MOTU 828 Firewire Audio Interface running DP3 DAW.
most of the engineers i have worked with have used MOTU instead of Pro Tools for MIDI sequencing.
i have used cakewalk, cubase, logic and Pro Tools on PCs in the past,
but my work changed when i got a G4 running Mark of the Unicorn's DP3.

my home setup is:

Mac G4 running DP3 w/ Unity Ds-1, Reason 2.0, Spark XL, Peak 3, and others...

i'm tempted to post a pic of where i work, but...

G4 Dual Quicksilver
Pro Tools_HD
Pro Tools_24
MOTU 1224
MOTU MIDI Timepiece AV
Mackie d8b Digital Mixer
Roland XV-5080
Yamaha C3 Grand Piano
an old Moog modular synth
Korg Triton and Trinity
EMU Xtreme Lead, Proteus, and Planet Phatt
and various FX, Synths and Samplers...
