Should read: "U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder announced his opposition to the measure and said the Justice Department would unjustly hassle Californians if voters approved it."
What a wanker. It really angers me how he can threaten people of a state for simply voicing their opinion on what freedom means to them.

^ I'm not too concerned about a lack of advertisements, to be honest.
People are aware of prop 19, due to it's exposure by the media. Most people in universities have probably heard about this. Anybody who regularly reads newspapers or watches the news would know that this is on the ballot. Heck, it was on the front page of the UK newspaper 'the guardian' one day!
I think people already had their mind made up over prop 19 before it was even on the ballot - scare tactics won't dissuade them. The mistrust of the government may also be an advantage. If people are sick of the drug war, once they see the actual prop on the ballot, they will vote yes (hopefully).
The vast majority of voters, even those who smoke, don't follow cannabis-related news as much as we do. That means they probably know it will be on the ballot, but don't think it will lead to convoys of stoned drivers on highway 101.

Democrat Monica Correia, 47, of Stanislaus County has decided that legalized pot is the last thing California needs.
Correia went to UC Berkeley in the 1970s and is the daughter of a liquor salesman. Reflecting on her college years, she said she concluded marijuana renders too many people overly "laid back and stoned" and "takes away ambition."
The fact that she is a junior high teacher cemented her decision to vote against the measure, she said.
that bitch sounds like a tool.. a hypocrite.. and a DINO to boot...how much do you want to bet shes' also voting for whitman and fiorina...
