"Using Bat Guano or Other Nutrients in Substrate?"
    #1341242 - 02/27/03 06:29 PM (14 years, 6 months ago)

I was curious if anyone has tried using bat guano sold at any lawn/gardening center on there substrate? I was curious because I heard that this was very nutrient rich and might make for a nice additive? It is pretty price (15 bux for a small bag) at my store so before i go buy some, any info would be great. Thanks

Keep Shroom'n

I believe that guano is too acidic,  however, I could be wrong. You might want to try it

Or test the PH first.

What is the pH supposed to be? I know that the pH of water is 7, so i figure that the basic pf tek substrate would be similar? I could be completely off, but my friends dog's peepee needs help on this topic and i told him i would help. thanks

Try to find other dung like horse or cow!

Guano is not used because of the same reasons chicken manure is not used...

Its TOO rich!

Could you soak it and leach it to even out the acidity.
And just use it like an additive. Its prob to expesive any way to even bother.
