    #13381383 - 10/24/10 05:26 PM (13 years, 4 months ago)

here are a few mushrooms i found while on a hike, almost certain they are chanterelles.
found among spruce trees, few redwoods, found growing off burried roots or the decaying needles.
gills are attached to stem
cap is creamy orange/yellowish, all are irregular shaped
picked in northern california (humboldt) among spruce
any help is appreciated, lookin to have some tasty dinner
and whats the best method for cleaning? rinse and dry i a strainer?

I will confess something that should be quite obvious, CC.  I love mushrooms, i.e. fungi.  I really do.  I am talking about a strong feeling, i.e. emotion, for them.  I think they are beautiful.  I even dream of them.
