LME/Dextrose Ratios, 2% or 4%?

After doing a bunch of different searches for reliable LME/Dextrose recipes and ratios, I've come across everything from 2 tablespoons total (1:1 lme/dex) per litre, to 2 tablespoons lme/dex per quart. I've even seen people saying a tablespoon per cup of mixture to be enough.
Which is correct? The last one I did I think was the 1tb per cup and that was too much sediment, it might have been the per quart though. I'm just curious to what the correct answer to this would be.

Both ratios work great. I find that with the 4% will grow a thicker liquid culture than with 2% hence more liquid culture in the same amount of area = more liquid culture syringes. Light malt extract and dextrose liquid cultures shred grains once their mycelium hits the grains.

Yes I've noticed! I'll do the 2tablespoons per quart! I'll figure out how to make it with less sediment on my next batch.

honey + water = easy LC. for every half pint jar, put a dime sized glob of honey, then add water 3/4 of the way up. PC for 20 minutes, wait a few hours, then inoculate with clone tissue, LC, MS, Agar whatever you use. Honey is cheap, easy, found everywhere

A way to reduce the sediment out of light malt extract/dextrose liquid media is to after you have stirred your ingredients into your boiling water, strain your liquid media through a cheese cloth 2-3 times. I leave my sediment. Gives the culture something to grasp and grow off of.
