CelebStoners for Prop 19 October 20, 2010 - celebstoner.com
A growing number of celebrities are coming out in support of Prop 19, the ballot initiative that would legalize marijuana in California if approved by voters on Nov. 2. Here are 10 voices for legalization:
Doug Benson - Super High Me "Prop 19 isn't perfect, but to me, the bottom line is people should not be incarcerated from growing or smoking marijuana."
Eric Braeden - The Young and the Restless "Legalize the damn thing... We should tax the bloody thing. We need the revenue badly."
Tommy Chong - Cheech & Chong "This proposition will pass if we (stoners and stoner lovers) get out and vote it legal. The privatized jails and the law enforcement budget pigs want to keep it illegal so they can maximize their bottom line. Don't let this happen any longer. Vote Yes on Prop 19!"
Gary Johnson - former governor of New Mexico "It is the right thing to to do - control it, regulate it and tax it."
Cheech Marin - Cheech & Chong "Vote! Just vote, because if everyone thinks marijuana should be legalized, it'll pass with flying colors. I'd like to see marijuana legalized. If I want to sit home and smoke a joint and play guitar or watch TV, I should be able to do that.”
Willie Nelson - C&W legend "I would endorse it anywhere, in any state, any time. I think, eventually, the worse the economy gets, the more sense it makes to legalize marijuana. First of all, you save all that money being spent on drug enforcement - all the money that goes for putting people in prison for smoking pot. There’s just millions and millions of dollars that can be saved by legalizing it. A lot of the growers don’t want to see it legalized. But it has to be. I think it’s the future. Eventually we’ll get it legalized and we’ll be like Amsterdam. I can’t wait."
Marina Sirtis - Star Trek "They should legalize pot. Legalize pot and tax it. It would be the end of California's troubles financially."
Snoop Dogg - hip-hop star "I really believe (Prop 19) will take California to another level. It's the best piece of medicine we've ever created. I used to go to the store and buy Anacin and Bufferin and Bayer - but it's nothing like this medical marijuana. They got Blueberry, Strawberry, Purple, OG Kush. They even have Obama Kush. That's when you're blowin' presidential."
Sting - rock star "Everyone knows the War on Drugs has failed. It's time to step out of our comfort zones, acknowledge the truth, and challenge our leaders, and ourselves, to change."
Jesse Ventura - former governor of Minnesota "I hope California does it, because they can end the War on Drugs. (Prop 19) can be the first step to do it. It can stop all the murders at the Mexican border. You can disarm the cartels by legalization. It'll bring in money. I fully support California legalizing marijuana, because once they do it, hopefully it will go across (the nation) like wildfire."

Jesse Ventura is so intimidating. He could legalize it nationally by just getting up in every bodies faces.

The celebrities keep justifying taxation, without any preconditions, whatsoever.
But, none of the native-peoples' produce is taxed.
I'm assuming that they are resource independent, and that infrastructure used to be developed by independent, financial interests, who had purchased the property in good faith.
When I hear the economy used as an excuse to regulate the people, the underlying question is what we would do without the economy.
Well, there are answers to that.
Firstly, you might be able to enjoy a formerly-common wildflower, according to your own, individual discretion, without someone telling you whether it's allowed.

Marina Sirtis? I didn't know she was weed-friendly. I wonder if she tokes up now and then.
