What to do?
    #1336362 - 02/25/03 10:55 PM (21 years, 3 months ago)

This doesn't seem like a real problem, but I posted about this in OTD a few weeks ago. But anyways, I was sorting out my email account, giving it a spring clean, and I read through some old emails of a girl I started talking to when I was about 13. We lost contact a few years back, and all her email addresses are now non existant. Trouble is, where do you even start to find their new email address? Before it didn't bother me too much, but tonight after reading through her old emails, it really does get me down. :frown:
What I'm looking for is some serious help in finding her. She was the sweetest girl I've ever known and it sucks that I can't even send her an email to see how she's doing.

A nickname she used a lot was Smuffie.

I don't think she uses that alias anymore. I've done my tracking. With only a few false results. Try all seach engines just put in the names you have and search on boards and guestbooks. And also on websites.

I did a search on the internet for "charlotte mcgarrity" and I found someone on this page
http://www.aircadet.com/guestbook/gstbk11.htm
some airforce guestbook! It has an email.
Would she be the type of person to join the airforce?

Also, if you had any mutual friends, whether they be online or offline friends, that you are still in contact with, ask them if they are still in touch with her. I've found several old online buddies that way.

i think you can call and purchase the canadian version of DMV's to see if they have a record of that person and get one from them as it is public information. it will list current living information and such but don't think it'll help with email and such. was the accout yahoo, hotmail ?????

Prohibition will work great injury to the cause of temperance. It is a species of intemperance within itself, for it goes beyond the bounds of reason in that it attempts to control a man's appetite by legislation, and makes a crime out of things that are not crimes. A Prohibition law strikes a blow at the very principles upon which our government was founded.

A) posting her name probably isn't nice

B) go to www.theultimates.com/white for phone books (they also have yellow pages). i don't know if they have canadian ones....

Nope, no luck at all. Emailed a possible person, but no reply and certainly not hopeful about getting a reply at all.

HOLY FUCK! I got an email from her! I was checking through my junk mail, and she had reactivated her old account, and sent me an email to check if I still had the same account.
I'm so happy I could do flips around my house

LOL No, I knew she wouldn't have chosen to do something like that. She's working at a pet store. It feels good to be chatting to her regularly again.
Everyone, thanks for all the help, no matter how small, and the positive words.
