what kind of programming are you looking into? Basic? Visual Basic? C? C++? JAVA? HTML?
www.google.com
search for those languages, and find out information, then get a compiler for the language you want to learn on like kazaa.

Of the languages given above, C++ would probably be your best bet, but it's not something you'd learn overnight. You could probably do it in Java as well, but writing a non-internet based application in Java brings with it its own set of complications. (Java does not create a file that is directly executable by the computer, it needs to run on a JVM) That said, C++ is probably your best bet for writing a windows application. But I'm not sure exactly how you would make your game password protected with a separate application. I mean, your brother could simply find the .exe file for the game in the file directory and run it from there. This leads me to believe you'd have to alter the actual .exe file for the game, which can be done, but I wouldn't recomend it. There has to be a far simpler way to accomplish this that I'm overlooking....anybody? I always tend to overlook the obvious.

That's could be true about altering the actualy cstrike.exe...But I'm sure you can 'attach' a small application to the cstrike.exe...

I downloaded a trial version of a program that did what I needed, and when i went to open this .exe it prompted me for a password...so i'm pretty sure that's what it did...

how would i take a look at the code of a simple program, say like mspaint.exe?

Huh, should've figured they already made software that did what you wanted to do, but it sounds like something that would be pretty easy to get around if you tried...

If you want to look at the code for any .exe file, you need a good debugger. I'm sure you can find one online for free somewhere. Just load the file you want into the debugger and run it. Keep in mind that what you'll be looking at will not be source code (i.e. C++, Java) but instead will be assembly language (machine code). Pretty much meaningless garbage to most people.

If you're looking for languages unique to windows, check out Visual Basic.
