Neighborhood shocked after man tries
to sell drugs door to door
October 14, 2010 - wmbfnews.com
MURRELLS INLET, SC - Neighbors in one Murrells Inlet development said
they're in shock after a man is arrested for trying to sell marijuana
and crack to several people door to door.
"I've never seen anything like this in my life," said Renee Elvis, a
mother of two who lives in the Kings Court neighborhood. Horry County
Police arrested 25-year-old Eric Godbolt after police captured him
trying to sell drugs.
Neighbors said they saw the suspect walking around the neighborhood
around 10pm Monday night. According to sources familiar with the
investigation, one neighbor worked to lure the suspect to the home of
an off duty police officer. That officer, sources said, worked with
dispatch to help capture the Pawleys Island man.
"It can happen in your own backyard so prepare yourself," said Charlie
Brewer, a homeowner in the Kings Court subdivision. On Wednesday,
several neighbors said they were worried about the negative publicity
the arrest could have on what's normally a quiet community.
Godbolt remains in custody at the J Reuben Long Detention Center where
he faces multiple charges including: resisting arrest, possession of
marijuana, and distribution of drugs.
Its a shame he didnt just get hit by a car or eaten by someones pet bear, get him out of the breeding pool...
-------------------- "The Edge... there is no honest way to explain it because the only people who really know where it is are the ones who have gone over. The others - the living - are those who pushed their control as far as they felt they could handle it, and then pulled back, or slowed down, or did whatever they had to when it came time to choose between Now and Later"
I know what happened here. This guy was needing a hit so he was going around house to house to sell fake crack. According to the read he didn't even have any crack. He had a little marijuana, probably to trade for some crack. He's a crack head let him go!
