I made a gamelan song... yeah I don't know if many of you guys are into Indonesian music at all? But I felt like this was a decent first attempt
Well until it kinda... falls apart but I cannot be condemned to correct my mistakes!

I have a few song ideas on guitar pro but I can only convert them to MIDI and apparently MIDI is not an allowed extension here
anti-MIDItes I tell you.

I don't know exactly what my aims were for these little sets of riffs but I thought they sounded down right
I was planning to extend on this with drums but my programmer isn't working right now

make your own theories on music. afterall, that is what music is for... your own interpretation of the piece.
My friends who know theory are amazing guitarists. The rest get made fun of all day behind their backs.

Theory doesn't tell you how to play, it gives you a way to communicate what your playing.

You're an idiot. Learning theory doesn't make you a pussy.
Learning theory will make you progess as a musician infinitly faster and makes it 100% easier to compose songs and harmonize with multiple instruments.
Most people who just "trip out and play their way maaaaaan" are just happening upon certain keys and scales without realizing it. Things that could be explained with theory if you weren't a lazy ass.
If you take the time to learn to scales, and THEN be creative with it... you'll progress a hell of a lot quicker.
I think your excuse is just one of laziness. But play however you want... I don't give a fuck. I can tell you this though- the best music is written by highly creative people who take the time to actually understand their instruments.

I don't really care how people approach their learning, but it's annoying to hear people say you don't need theory or that it's a waste of time. Fiddling around on your own is basically teaching yourself theory except at a much slower pace and with a very lacking understanding of what's occurring.

Hmm, it's a midi, maybe you will have to check what your midi synthesizers sound level is at. I could try converting it tho.
