looks good , id give it a few more days of misting the tub walls before i misted the actual pins ... they are about at the stage where its ok but it looks like the rest of the cake could use some more time to see what happens ... just make sure you keep that rh and fae up ...
as to the temp , ideally you want mid 70s but 69 will get it done without too much slowing ...

misting the walls of a tub do nothing to help your project....condensation on the inside of a tub is due to temp differences inside and outside the tub...
the ebb and flow of moisture on the substrate surface is a pinning trigger as well as light and fae.... you dont think pins get wet when it rains?? you can and should mist your cakes from start to finish...always fan...then lightly mist...then fan till near dry...the idea is if you leave a puddle of water on your cake then you have misted and not dried enuff
congrats on your first pins...I am a lil shocked that you got this far and dont know the about the above information...be prepaired to be told this alot....READ READ READ

misting the walls keeps the rh in the tub level and keeps it frowm drying out too much as it evaporates ... and do you really think i dont know what condensation is ? the 24 hour dunk is done for a reason ... dont you think that water evaporates through the cake and off the verm ? save the misting for if it looks dry or until your true pinset is declared ...

yes and the misting replaces it...ebb and flow not flow...im sorry but you are incorrect sir! especially with cakes misting from start to finish...least thats what the pros say....i listen to them as much as possible..u should to!

I think what he is saying is: Sometimes, having slightly dryer Sub/Cakes While maintaining high humidity can help trigger pinning. At which point you would then proceed again to directly Hydrate/Mist the cakes providing water to the rapidly growing fruit.
Ive had stubborn cakes, where a thorough drying of the cakes (including only misting perlite/walls for humidity NOT obviously for condensation) quickly triggers pinning.

dry cakes dosent initiate pinning!! it is the ebb and flow of moisture...its called transpiration...what you are talking about is just evap... i wouldnt be shocked if the reason you have like 5 pins on that whole cake there is because its dryed out!
but hey dont take either of our words for it...start reading and searching the archives even roger rabbit says to mist from start to finish... I am no myco genius i have read so much here that i find now im re reading many of the threads so this is all just regurgitated information....up to date and acurate...either way i would wait till a TC or doc_t comes along to answer you
as for mr babrbeque.... dont care how many shrooms you have grown bro...your info about not misting till after pinning is in accurate and out of date...sorry just tryen to help this OP out not make a statement about weather or not i have grown shrooms b4

with proper humidity levels there is no way for the constant misting to even evaporate at a level conducive to pinning ... loss of moisture from the substrate is a pinning trigger , it cant get that effectively if you keep the thing soaked in a humid environment ...
your technique works only because you are fanning it so heavily after misting or your Rh levels are too low ... the same effects would be attained from inside out if you just left it alone after dunking and keeping optimal humidity to keep from drying too much ... its the same process only you are making it more difficult than it has to be ...
dude im not the anti-water like you make it sound ... you re talking to someone who doesn't mist his pins but flood and drains them ... i dont dare it though until i got pins about the size he has ...

Exactly. If your humidity is high enough you don't need to mist freshly birthed subs, cakes right away. As your sub begins losing its moisture it will pin like crazy as a survival mechanism. Then you can mist the shit out of them to resupply evap'd water.
This works well if you understand the process. You don't want your sub to dry out to much prior to pinning, and you do not want to drench cakes/ sub that have yet to pin.
It's a balancing act you must figure out yourself because every room / fc / tub has different conditions.
