Pretty good interview. Not sure how well her acid fingernail trick would have worked, but it would be interesting to see Nixon on acid regardless. Never had a clue that was what she looked like though.

She looks way different than she did back in the day. I wonder if she still sings. I always loved her voice so much. I even have White Rabbit as my ring tone on my cell.

White rabbit was good. I like the genera that jeff plane does, but I don't think they generally put it together so well, having listened to random songs from some of their albums.

I love Grace. Awesome voice and beautiful too. I like most of the Airplane stuff (Saturday Afternoon, Today, etc.). Once they went Starship, I deplaned...

AWESOME song. Also "Greasy Heart" is a lesser known favorite of mine.

Jefferson Airplane ROCKED! One of the best bands to come out of the San Francisco acid scene.
Grace Slick's vocals...Jorma's guitar(nothing sounds quite like it)...and, of course, JACK CASSADY'S BASS(one of the best bass players of all time, many modern bass players cite him as a HUGE influence)...
The entire "After Bathing At Baxter's" album is (arguably) the GREATEST acid album of all time. Up there with "Electric Ladyland" or "Electric Music for the Mind and Body."
Live versions of "The Ballad of You, Me, & Pooneil" ROCK with spine tingling feedback sequences. Love that song.
Their mainstream songs are nice and all, but that's not even where they're at IMHO.
"She Has Funny Cars", "3/5 of a Mile in 10 Seconds", "Embryonic Journey", "Young Girl Sunday Blues", "Lather", "Greasy Heart", "EAT STARCH MOM" (great little gem)... etc. etc.
THIS is what I think of when I think of Jefferson Airplane. This band blew minds wide open and can continue to do so if you give them a chance.
