6500k CFLs

Hey guys, quick question...
I'm in the market to buy some 6500k CFLs. Haven't been able to find them in loca stores so I've been searching around online. I found some 42 watters at 1000bulbs for a fair price but shipping is rather high. Even with 10% off its gonna cost like $34.00 for 2 bulbs. Ihate paying so much for shipping on cheap mundane items. Does anyone have a recommendation on where I can get this stuff a bit cheaper or without te shipping cost? Thanks.

Is it really worth it? I've used plain roomlight on plenty of grows with good results.

Anywhere where they sell lighbulbs you can find 6500k.
I go to home depot, home hardware, candadian tire, walmart, or any similar place.
The box is normally blue, and they will say something like "6500k truelight" on them
Not sure if your looking for specialized bulbs or something... because these should be easily discovered in the bulb section

Yes it is worth it. Any bulb with a temperature below 5000 kelvin will yield you bad results or in another case not as good as with a daylight bulb 6500k. iFung where do you live that doesn't have light bulbs? Go anywhere they sell fixtures you can make yourself for cheap and buy bulbs for 8 bucks.

I've never used them before but since I'm setting up a nice closet with a big martha I figure I might as well do it right. RR seems to recommend them highly.

I'm in northeast USA. Been to home depot and walmart but the highest k rating I've found are the 5000k (which is what I've used up to now).

Ya you would have to do a little searching around for the cooler blue bulbs, but I have been using a 5000k bulb cause it's all I have, it's been working perfectly fine. A bluer spectrum bulb is on my shopping list in the near future though.

Anyone who says that any particular range of normal light will result in bad yeilds does more reading and typing than actual growing. I'm sure there is an "optimal" range, but I'm pretty sure that for the average grower who isn't aiming for comercial yields, it's not worth spending a lot of $$ for.

Ask for "energy saving daylight bulbs", in opposition to "warm white", which is normal for houses. 6500K and/or "daylight" is standing on the package, for sure.

20w 2-pack "Daylight" Cfl and 26w 2-pack "Daylight" Cfl
I'm able to buy both of these at retail stores near me, even if their not listed as "in store" on the website. If you can't find them near you, though, I highly doubt the shipping on these will bring the total anywhere near $34 like the ones you originally found.
