Men hospitalised after drug scare October 13, 2010 - thechronicle.com.au
THREE young men were hospitalised after they consumed a highly toxic hallucinogenic flower at Gowrie Mountain.
A shift worker housemate of the trio woke to find the men, aged in their early 20s, wandering around the backyard of their Linora Drive home at 4.50pm on Tuesday.
The men had sourced the common garden plant Datura Angel's Trumpet from another property and chopped it up, boiled it, and made a tea which they drank.
The concerned housemate called the emergency triple zero number as the men were suffering from severe hallucinations and were not responsive.
In the past, people have died from consuming the legal plant and its side-effects are similar to those of “magic mushrooms”.
Queensland Ambulance Service duty supervisor Mike Andersen said four ambulance crews, including two intensive care paramedics, were needed to treat the trio.
“It is very dangerous,” Mr Andersen said. “They are lucky to be alive. It is like a drug but you can't control it. It is highly toxic.
“We had to sedate them as you can't talk to them and can't control them.”
Paramedics spent almost one hour stabilising the young men at the scene.
The trio was taken to the Toowoomba Hospital at 6pm.
One man was discharged on Tuesday night while the other two men were discharged yesterday.

No kidding! How long does it take to check which category each drug falls into?

Fellas must not have the internet or something. Even a cursory glance would reveal not only how wretched and unpleasant that trip can be but how fucking toxic. Entirely not recommended... All these drugs seems to manage to teach people is not to eat every FUCKING root flower pill or bug that will supposedly "fuck you up" . . .
-------------------- "The Edge... there is no honest way to explain it because the only people who really know where it is are the ones who have gone over. The others - the living - are those who pushed their control as far as they felt they could handle it, and then pulled back, or slowed down, or did whatever they had to when it came time to choose between Now and Later"

Yeah that is freaking crazy. I know I love psy's, and I even liked the delirium caused by meth after a few days. I think that is why I liked it so much, oh those crazy times. I do know one thing though, I don't think there could ever be a time and place I would ever consider doing Datura. Not sure how I would have answered that question when I was 20 though.

Apparently longer than it took them to decide to use the word "scare." Hint hint.
Drug scare = bullshit alert
