The Believer's "Out"
    #1332877 - 02/24/03 11:29 PM (14 years, 4 months ago)

-=DISCLAIMER=-
I'm not trying to pick at the poster of this... so I left his/her name out.
I'm merely using it as an example.

This is a typical example of how bullshit sticks around:
You can't apply a set date to anything. The future is always in motion. There are literally decillions of possible futures. We won't even know the exact year when the "wave" finally approaches. It could be 2012, or it could be 2009 or 2014.

Maybe one day people will be able to accept responsibility and admit to being incorrect when supporting evidence is ALWAYS absent or "delayed" (for whatever BS reasons).

I couldn't agree more. If your theory or "best guess" is wrong at least own up to that first and save the "but this, but that" bullshit for later.

Take responsibility for our actions! ? !
What a concept........
Maybe the revelation has come, indeed!
The only problem is that now that you know this fact, money is useless to you so none will be received.

Insert an "I think" mentally in front of eveything I say that seems sketchy, because I certainly don't KNOW much. Also; feel free to yell at me.

I am a skeptical believer. What "out" have I ever used?

If I cannot admit when I am wrong how will I ever improve?

Cheers,

M_M: I am a skeptical believer. What "out" have I ever used?

I didn't say it was the skeptical believer's "out". I didn't say that ALL believers use such "outs". I thought you were all about logic... hehehe

If I cannot admit when I am wrong how will I ever improve?

Ditto... this obviously doesn't apply to you.

everything is really waves if you think about it, what events that would escalate to and end would best be resembled by waves. maybe yes nostradamus did have visions of what would come for this world in waves. i dont know what they are though, i think its funny that show first wave uses aliens though. i watched it a lot  i liked it too. but its no longer a cool wave to transmit. . o well

Can't answer? Then I don't see how giving a reasonable range of time is an "out". You can't know when anything will happen for sure, all thanks to a thing called chaos.
