The Jam Tek

1. Purchase a jar of strawberry jam.

2. Prepare innoculating syringe.

3. Unscrew lid and squirt into jar.

4. Close lid loosely.

Every other day, tighten lid and shake vigorously. Loosen lid to allow for gas exchange.

After a month or so you will have a pink, milky slop.

1. Buy some multi-grain wheat bread.

2. Buy some fresh ground peanut butter.

Take two slices of bread and apply a thin coating of your peanut butter to one side of one slice. Press the peanut butter side of the one slice against your second slice. Place the two slices into aluminum foil and PC for 45 minutes at 15 psi.

After a few hours, remove the foil and take apart the two slices. Using a sterilized knife, spread some mycelial jam on the same side you applied your peanut butter, just over the peanut butter layer. Sandwich the mycelial jam between the first and second slices. Place the sandwich into a presterilized jar, spray with water, and close the lid. Filtered air holes should be predrilled.

Incubate at 85 F for 10-14 days in total darkness. At the end of this period, your sandwich should be completely colonized.

Open jar, spray with cold water, and move into a room temperature environment with indirect sunlight. Place sandwich on presterilized plate and cover with saran wrap.
