Do you live in GA? Whether you do or don't, whereabouts did you see corals? I didn't know they lived there. :confused2:

You wouldn't have any balls to speak of after that. Ever seen what fer de lance venom does to human tissue? Here is a VERY graphic picture of a leg two weeks after a fer de lance bite. Yes, they had to amputate that.

I don't live there anymore, but when I did I found them south of Macon. They like the areas with dry sandy soil.

Be afraid

"This terrible Lonomia caterpillars live in the rainforests of South America, and cause a few deaths every year, especially in southern Brazil, where they’re usually found on the bark of trees. Blending perfectly in their surrounding, Lonomia obliqua caterpillars often can’t be avoided, even if people watch out for them. Most incidents occur when travelers lean against a tree and unknowingly brush against one of the caterpillars, which release a very powerful anticoagulant venom.

Symptoms of Lonomia obliqua poisoning include severe internal bleeding, renal failure and hemolysis. If the skin comes into contact with several caterpillars, death is often the outcome. The lethal dose of the toxin secreted by this terrible creature is among the lowest of all known toxins."

In Brazil they call them taturanas assassinas. They are a group that develop into Saturniid moths. Their venom is as deadly as a rattlesnake bite with just a fraction of the quantity. They are responsible for several deaths a year in Brazil.

The immediate sensation is described as violent burning pain. But worse, the toxin is a type of anticoagulant that causes internal hemorrhaging, destruction of blood cells and kidney failure. It's like the Ebola of bugs.

Back the fuck up.

Fucking rainforest animals. This is why i would not want to live in the rainforest because every fucking thing can kill the human like no prob.

yeah the closer you get to the equator the worse the bugs and venomous animals get.  Brazil is the best place for poison.  But they dont tell you that it is the best place to discover pharmaceuticals either.  Brazil has the highest rate of hallucinogenic plants in the world.  As well as the best plants to fight cancer and other disease........ think about that for once.

if all drugs are poison in high doses then the most of the drugs come from Brazil; or as to say that most of the poisons come in small doses than at least we can have some fun.

I've heard that more than 30% of Earth's species are found in the Amazon rainforest. Even with all those deadly insects and animals, the natives still walk around barefoot.

:omgz:

Wow, um....thanks for the heads up!  There would have been a good chance of contact if I would have seen this in the wild, now I don't know if I will ever pick up another caterpillar as long as I live.

This pussy cat is just as poisonous in it's adult stages as a moth.
At least the ionomi gives up it's shenanigans after it reaches a respectable age.

It knows when enough has been enough.  My cat is more respectable than your cat.

Hooligan.

i thought the king snake was indigenous to southern states (i.e. georgia).  Some species of king snake are similar in appearance to the coral snake but not venomous
