Lactarius deliciosus (Saffron Milk Cap) ? - Almost...

I was almost beside myself when I found these. My initial reaction was that these are probably Lactarius deliciosus..a shroom I've never found and along with Chicken of the Woods, they are the 2 edibles I am eager to find.
After a good read, these are not what I thought they were as no orange milk/latex

Habitat: NW UK - Mixed deciduous: Under Birch, Alder, Oak & Pines. In a fishery that I found this season which brims with shrooms!
Gills: Color: Pale Pink/Orange Attached; slghtly decurrent,
Stem: Length 50-70mm (mature) Diameter: 20-30mm (mature) Color: Pale with orange pits . Hollow.
Cap: Diameter: apx 150mm (mature) Color: Light pinky-orange with lighter concentric circles. Texture: Firm but slightly sticky. Cap edges in immature specimens rolled and 'wooly'
Spore print color: Printing now.
Bruising: No colour
Still leafing thru ID books and awaiting the print, any ideas as to what this could be?

Check the flavor, looks like one of the acrid Lactarius.
Compare with Lactarius torminosus.

I was thinking that while I was posting elsewhere...it's gotta be torminosus, hang on will check...
K, it's not as wooly as torminosus. So that leaves pubescens, scotius & maisei. NOT maisei, pubescens .. infact,
It's torminosus, thankyou Alan

Yes, but not what I thought it was =(
Not sure if I can be arsed to salt and marinade it... torminosus needs more prep than deliciosus.
I WILL find deliciosus one day!!
