Put a couple apples in the pre filter. Than put it on a Roasting-Spit and roast it over hickory coals while basting with apricot preserve. Yummm

I recently located Coco Coir in Pet Valu and PetSmart under the name of Plantation Soil. Also Got empty syringes at a Ink refilling shop. This was in Ontario.

I'm sending out some supply's today and did a price comparison. If you can keep the package 2cm or less it becomes a letter which will be 1/4 of the price of a parcel the same thickness. So your better off sending 3 letters at 2cm thick than a parcel that is 6cm thick. Here is what Canada post has says about the size of letters. This is shipping within Canada only.
Letter Select letter if you are mailing documents, cards or small packages that are within the following dimensions: Length: Minimum - 14 cm (5.51 in.), Maximum - 38 cm (14.96 in.) Width: Minimum - 9 cm (3.54 in.), Maximum - 27 cm (10.63 in.) Height: Minimum - 0.018 cm (0.007 in.), Maximum - 2 cm (0.78 in.) Weight: Maximum - 500 g (1.1 lb.) Note: Items containing goods or anything of value cannot be sent as letters to U.S. or international destinations.
Just a JFYI if you like to trade and have to ship items. Canada post has an online option called Ship-in-a-Click.

Well I bought some bags and some AA PC parts off of this guy. He sent me an email with a price list. I'll post it. Bill is his name. I sent him a email asking for a discount of 5% if you use the word "pepper". We will see what he does even if he throws some stuff in for free would be nice.

Damn that's awesome. I had emailed them and it bounced, so I thought they were out of the game. I guess it was the wrong email address. Awesome. That's a nice hepa filter price, damn.

This is what he said...

Please consider that you could buy a larger quantity from me, say 1000 3TL for $350 and distribute them yourself. That’s much better than 5% and I don’t have to keep track. 5% is quite small for me on some things and quite large on others. I am a one man show maintaining 5 acres with over 100 fruit trees, market garden, beehives, and a sizeable spawn making and mushroom supplies business. Prices may change as my inventory from bulk purchases runs out. Everything that takes time costs $$ and/or stress.
Thank you for your interest

Should we make a list of things and then make a bulk order? PM me of what you think Canadians.

What size dowels did you order from this site pepper?:
http://www.woodparts.ca/DOWELPINS.HTML
I want to try my hand at making plug spawn for the spring, but I am not 100% sure what would be a good size.

I went with the 5/16 X 1 1/4 size but I see Bill's list has 1/4 X 3/4. So I would save some money and go with 1/4 X 1 dowels. When I buy more they will be the 1/4 X 1 size.

From bill or wood parts? It looks like I could get 2000 dowels for about $25 plus shipping from woodparts. Maybe use there 1/4 X 1" dowels.
I know you have made dowel spawn using the woodparts dowels, what were your experiences with them?

They worked fine and the logs are in the snow.

Just wanted to add for people looking for good deals on supplies like coir, verm and alot of other stuff. Check your local papers for horticultualists expos and reptile expos. Both of these communities use much of the same supplies as us. I bought some massive coir blocks (marked as 85 litre blocks) for $7.99. Great deal at a local reptile show. From a frog breeder. Also a local horticulturalist expo sells verm. so cheap it's crazy! So check out these options most major cities and many smaller cities in Canada have these expos every 3-4 months or so. MM
