but trust me if me and her dont work out. fungi freindly will be a requirement for future cantadates. and dont get the wrong idea she totally respects my passion just doesnt see fungi the way i do.

oh and Alan if you read this tony will be their so keep an eye open

oh and i almost forgot i never posted my friscosa (or whatever their called now) find.

i found these on the way to the store they were growing next to the sidewalk. ^_^

the patch wasnt very big only provided me with 3.2 dried grams of the best mushrooms ive ever had but yeah im not complaining ^_^

Ok everyone, be sure to head over to the botanical gardens and pillage it for all it's worth.

LOL well good luck with that because there wasn't much there. As far as I knew that wasn't a big secret about the gardens anyway. I'm sure they could use the extra traffic and $9 admission fees too ...

Oh, and by the way, I heard they grow in Golden Gate Park too :mushroom2:...

I will be at the psychoactive mushrooms table.

I am so disappointed; this is happening a few blocks away while I have to work the entire time. Yesterday and today.

Started my own little colony of friscosas from a wood chip with some mycelium on it a couple of weeks ago. And it's doing great, gotta get some more wood chips and start my own patch here in Richmond.

Since most of you know this is my breakthrough year, I'm going to make the possibly naive announcement that the Bay Area season is in FULL SWING- er, GGP cyans that is.
Cyans were breaking through on all fronts today, in areas I never imagined and I deliriously filled a salvaged 7-11 cup to overflow.  I no longer cared who was watching me; in fact I relished their puzzled gazes, and only the sound of hooves could have distracted my cyan-o-vision.
I think this is the "full swing" I hear about, and a real persistent wetness has arrived in the commons of GGP. I hope all had a great weekend, sounds like it.

yes it is in full swing, and it will probably last awhile this time, like a few weeks at least and more likely 2 more months

happy legs for me...then sore legs...hehe

yeah, it's about time for a marathon or two.....or ten

I didn't go out today but someone close to me did and she showed me nearly a wet pound of mature p.cyans she picked in less than one our at the beach today...

when I say "the beach" im speaking of the 10 or so miles of peninsula that sits west of Eureka and Arcata. Im pretty sure EVERYONE knows of this area. Its the only place I have ever picked active mushrooms

Check out some of this bluing.  Didn't even touch any of these, just what they were doing on their own.

Yesterdays storm seems to have really punched a bunch of new ones out as well.

Next few days will be something else.

Oh, and check out these gymmies that are pushing up.  Too bad
the west coast can't figure out the recipe for making these
things active!

and nice haul out of GGP, I think the best one yet...There's just so many places to look around the bay...It takes weeks just for places I can even remember
