S,P & S is now back to S & P
    #1326906 - 02/22/03 03:23 PM (21 years, 1 month ago)

Well the Shroomery has just undergone a new facelift. This forum is now back to the S&P of yesteryear. Science related posts should be made in the "Science and Technology" forum. Posts will be moved accordingly, thank you.

Shouldn't the Computers and Technology forum be renamed to Science, Computers and Technology then?

Basically it was my idea to divide the forum and get rid of the science assholes and atheists ruining all the good spiritual and philosophic threads.

j/k

This decision was made by the administrators.  We were not given a reason for the change.

I guess I don't get to do my part 2 of the series. :frown:

Cheers,

I think it was a good move, mind you.

Science in itself can stretch for beyond the scope of philosohpy and spirituality.  I don't even know why "science" was added in the first place.

S&P was the first forum I began posting in when I registered.  But back then all the threads seemed to just be an ongoing debate on the validity of religion.  And of course "science" was the main tool towards the support of atheism.

And from my own standpoint as a neurobiology student, I can say science can be so much more than just "evolution vs creationism", or spiritual derivations resulting from the physiology of the brain.

Good move by the "big boss".  :smirk:

Actually Shroomism and I will be having a few members helping us discuss the benefits of Kama Sutra yoga w/ photographs.

Stay tuned, it might get more interesting than you know.

What if everything around you
Isn't quite as it seems?
What if all the world you think you know,
Is an elaborate dream?
And if you look at your reflection,
Is it all you want it to be?

The science part should definately stay, because science defines reality. Science is a very important part in mankinds quest for immortality.

well... im in for the change... this forum was unique before the "science" was added, and it will still be unique afterwards... of course there still will be discussions about the ethics of a new genetical discovery or likely subjects... but the pure science threads as "scientist found new chemical element" or "the future of nuclear fusion and its uses for mankind" will be moved to the science & technology forum...

Actually philosophy defines science and so it subsumes it.

Apparently the admins don't want us to know why they've done this..... aww well - I've seen the peak and decline of many forums due to strange admin moves but hey I guess there's a reason in SOMEbody's head SOMEwhere..

K I'm off to the Science and Tech forum
