Can someone please explain the concept to me. I was just reading The Crass lyrics on the Raaaawwwhh Punk song thread...and i do listen to Crass, and alot of other Anarcho supporting bands, but i cannot grasp this concept. How can anarchy exist in conjunction with peace? This seems like a very idealistic concept to me. Why waste time dreaming about a utopia, Anarcho isnt a reality, i dont see why the punks are so Pro anarchy...

It depends greatly on your definition of 'anarchy' if you take 'anarchy' to mean chaos with no laws where everyone would go around raping and killing each other that is one thing. I tend to define 'anarchy' as a state where no one imposes their will upon another being and is willing to work together in a cooperative group. And the political punk type of 'anarchy' i see as defined as no hierarchical authority, but thats not to say that a state should not be organized.
A quote from Errico Malatesta (an anarchist) : "Anarchism is organization, organization and more organization."

Look up the state of affairs in the Catalonia region of Spain in 1936, for a real life "utopian" system of libertarian communism. Many anarks use libertarian socialism and anarchism as the same concept.

hope this helps. All i'm saying is that its up to the individual interpretation of the definiton of the word and the concepts that follow.
