I think I'm allergic to Big Laughing Gyms.... First I was in the bathroom and I saw the hand towel blowing in the wind. I then realized there were no windows open and the door was shut! My friend and I then attempted to play poker. I started laughing uncontrollably for about 2 minutes straight. As I was turning off the lights and packing my shit I was seeing yellow flickers and started overthinking everything. I took a tranq and went to bed and the next morning my allergic reaction seemed to subside, save for the occasion peripheral moving objects that aren't really moving..

Badass gym cluster there bro Beauties!!!!! - id also say those are some TRUE BIG LAUGHERS - growing super thick clustered from the ground up - darker caps than stems - scaly texture - and the "faint" bruising!!!!! gym luteus are suppost to be one of the most potent - and g.luteus do forsure show LOTS more green-blue bruising thant the True BLG's - - - but none the less - they are BOTH "active" and this dude knows his shit Quote:
I believe wiscokid is the one that raves about 15grams dry made into a tea.
im telling ya - much less than that and specially if you have giant large old specimens - you wont feel much at all - - - if you use heady bruising pinners - it would take about a quarter or more still to notice the true gym happy zone!! ( or allergic reaction _) so with yours - 15 dry gr - chopped up into little little pieces - just boil some water n throw them in - wait bout half hr - and YOUR GUNNA BE SMILING LIKE CRAZY and tea helps you not have to munch down some woody ass tasting fungi too - add sugar cinnimon and honey - your gunna like it wayyyyyy better than gaging down the actual fruits!!
Nice finds man - hope to see more on these

Hey wisco, if you get a sec, can you check out my latest thread and tell me what you think? like i say, i made a tea with 2 fresh ounces and didn't feel anything. I didn't get sick or anything either. When you boil the water, do you boil the whole 30 minutes? or just get it to boil, then throw em in and steep for 30? do you filter the fruits with a coffee filter, strainer?

bring water to boil; remove from heat, pour the water over the mushrooms in a glass, teapot, etc. and allow to steep, covered. stir a few times if you'd like, to speed up infusion.
strain with a seive, coffee filter, paper towel, or just your teeth.
it's pretty straight forward. the point is just to get the alkaloids into solution in the water and not have to ingest the solids.
some of the active Gymnopilus species can be incredibly weak at times, especially in mature specimens. It could also be that your Gyms are not in fact an active species (i apologize; i have not read the entirety of your thread).

Attn PWN hunters: If you should come across a bluing Psilocybe matching P. pellicolusa please smell it. If you detect a scent reminiscent of Anethole (anise) please preserve a specimen or two for study and please PM me.

thanks Canid. if you do get a chance that's great too. From my pictures it may be hard to tell exactly. If i can determine they are active i'd have to say either luteus or liquiritae.

yup that tea recipe is the WAY to do it - candid worded it PERFECT - and woodwalker- yours do look kinda iffy - the pics aren't the greatest - with gyms you GOTTA be on the lookout for fakers - pholiota - and sulfur tufts!!!!!
- and remember - "20gr fresh" AINT SHIT - thats round 2 gr dry - prob more with gyms being so thick n heavey -some gyms may weight a SHITTON fresh too - they aren't alllll that potent - even luteus - you'd want to try the dry weights given - fresh - your gunna need a TON of weight tho

and be wary of the myriad of other Gym species. With a few exceptions, Such as the junonius species/group where there is visible bluing, and G. luteofolius and aeruginosus I have never been terribly well versed in the genus. I try, but meh; too many priorities and too little time.

luteofolius i dont care that much for they were the weakest i had one time then the other time just weirder they lasted way longer for some reason they also have a higher content of the non psilocybin actives in them for sure

gimme a break. i know the first two pics are shitty, but you should at least be able to see the ring zone in the other photos in my thread. it's all good, like i said, i know they are gymnopilus. The anise smell, gym taste..... my fingers stained rusty brown. they are gymnopilus. I was asking for any possible ideas for Gymnopilus species. anyway, 60grams fresh tea and 3 grams eaten all at once,no effect. I'm not gettin excited about even tryin them again. If i want to i'm sure i can go and find some big gyms. maine is crawling with them. thanks for the input.
