Agaricus sp., likely Agaricus campestris.

Hi Kahuna,

I have geo-coded the Agaricus mushroom.

08102010173 by dave.kirkby1975, on Flickr

It comes from the ORDER Agaricales which encompasses the gilled mushrooms.

I took some further photos of it fully grown, and showed it to the locals.  The gills had turned from pinkish white to dark brown and the gaps between the gills had increased.  The locals identified it as being a horse mushroom - Agaricus Arvensis - because of its large size.
Apparently they've seen one the size of a frying pan.  The mushrooms I videoed earlier on in the thread didn't grow to the size of the ones below and they were tightly grouped together.

How do you tell the difference between Arvensis and Campestris?  :wowz:

I cooked it with onions, peppers, spring onions, white rice and reggae reggae sauce.  After cleaning it vigorously - things can get lodged in those gills!

Best Wishes, Wulgulmerang.
