List all your favorite things to do this time of year.

I love going to pumpkin patches to find that one perfect pumpkin, watching Hocus Pocus, going to haunted houses, and being an all around creepy bastard for a good month or two. :durrhurr:

Whenever I smell fireworks and night air I say "It smells like Halloween"

I love this time of year.
It doesn't feel like it here though just yet.
Usually in Vancouver this time of a year it's cold already.
Like when you wake up in the morning and theres frost on your car.
But that hasn't happened yet!

I wish it would get cold like that down here, I miss the autumn in cincinnati. It's still in the 80's and 90's around here.

I like the cold.

It's about 60-70 here.
But this time of year it's usually colder. I'm sure it'll happen it just hasn't yet.

I hope we get lots of snow this year. We didn't get any last year.

The macabre. This one guy in my old neighborhood had a human sized something underneath a white sheet with the eyes cut out in the sheet hanging from a noose. It was homemade and I found some amusement that someone could put that on their porch because it was October. Halloween is just a genuinely fun time and the parties on Halloween night are always something to look forward to.

I'd say taking off masks is fun around October. I love October, everything just feels eerie. Just breaking through to the unknown.

i like making an effort to have a legit costume. my city has a huuuuuge halloween celebration on the streets every year. everyone goes out and gets drunk on the streets in costumes. it's a college town, so there's a shitload of slutty, nubile eye-candy. good times.

love a good halloween costume party too.

it's seriously a huge fucking thing. in 2007, there was something like 80,000 people on the streets. that's more than the entire population of the city. in recent years they've made an effort to drop the numbers though. 2008 was like 35,000 people. last year it was back up to 50,000. i don't think there'll be more than 50k this year though.

Damn, that's crazy. Other than the occasional costume party and small pagan festivals no one really does anything for Halloween in Florida. I don't think I've even seen a single trick or treater in the 6 or 7 years I've been down here.
