This is my first post here on shroomery so i hope ill get it right
It all started when i got a spore print from someone i got to know on the Internet...(Thanx for spores!!!)
Made my own spore syringes and made 3X10ml of the one print
Found me a tek here on shroomery where there was no need to remove floaters, and that seemed nice for a lazy guy like me... :p What i followed on my Wbs tek
So i wet my Wbs for about 8-12 hours and filled my Wbs in home made jars with millet, sunflower and wheat in and PC'd it for about 1.5 hours :p My jars made ready... From this i got 6 jars homemade with polyfill filter and 2 inoc points on each jar...
These where colonized in about 10-14days... Somebody told me to remove sunflower seeds, but with my lazy tek i have noticed that my Wbs got colonized first on the sunflower seeds first in 4 of 6 jars :p Tropicalis starting on sunflower seeds... My plan was to spawn these jars to mycobags with filter patch containing a 50/50 mix of hpoo/straw.But first i did an G2GT with one of the jars and made me 6 more jars... I used my jars to spawn to mycobags and sealed my bags with an impulse sealer and waited for them to get colonized. It was done in the high 70's...(76-78F)
When it started to get colonized i did ready the things i needed for the next step...
I made my mono of a tub about 16 liters(4gallons) big and made 2 holes of about an inch big at my expected sub level on the long sides and one high up on each short side
More coming soon!!
A pic of my 50/50 mix of hpoo/straw mixed together and gotten to field capacity... My 50/50 mix of hpoo/straw
I pasteurized my hpoo/straw-mix in a pillow case in a big pot with a heavy object over and water over. This i had on my stove for 1.5hours on the lowest setting after i got up the temperature a bit. When this was done i took my pillowcase and put on an oven rack and let it sit there to cool. When it had gotten cold enough i put on some gloves and squeezed the mix until it was almost nothing dripping from it and putting it in the mycobags when it still was hot so it could cool in the bags. Then i used a jar of wbs with floaters and sunflower seeds in and all already colonized 100%... I spawned into my mycobags with and then sealed my bags and put them to incubation Have heard to remove sunflower seeds but my Panaeolus tropicalis started on sunflower seeds in 8 of 12 jars i think,so i see no need to remove them in my tropicalisgrow... These mycobags took about 6 days to colonize almost 100%
Colonized mycobag
Made me an monotub about 4 gallons big with 2 holes on each long side and 1 hole up on each short side.Used silk tape on the holes at substratlevel and used polyfill on the high ones. My monotub and a spawnbag...
Here i did a THIN casing of the same substrate i used to spawn to,just added some vermiculite in it(hpoo/straw)...Here's my first casing I put this into incubation for 1-2 days and it looked like this...
I opened my monotub 2-6 times a day to refresh the air in my monotub...I saw some water on the top of my mono so i sprinkled a thin layer of vermiculite over my tub and 2-3 days later
 PINS
An update on my monotub with Tropicalis It's going good after my experience and its starting to look like an little forrest

And from the top
