The basal bulb end of the stipe in the second to last picture with the single collar doesnt look like amanita muscaria at all.

Thats what they call an atypical specimen. It looks similar to the collar on A. pantherina, they are closely related.

You sure its not Amanita frostiana? lol Sorry for the skepticism it just bothers me that the main feature of A. muscaria is the multiple fuzzy concentric rings and this one has a single collar.

Okay to eat seems to differ by whom you ask.
Some people will sun dry or oven dry them (~190 degrees F) before eating (this will cause some sort of odd feelings, usually a trip, but sometimes the pukies).
Others will parboil and them cook and eat them.
I just like to enjoy them with the eye and camera.
Leave the cybertour for something with psilocybin in it.

It always good to ask questions. A. frostiana is a smaller mushroom.

In low doses, it's like getting drunk. Seriously. Headbuzz, coordination loss, giggly, tired. But yeah, totally dry them out if you want that kind of thing. Dried and boiled into a tea is my preferred method, but on friday I'll try just eating the dried slices. Drinking mushroom-flavored water isn't my idea of a good start haha. Symptoms can include: nausea upset stomach loss of coordination loss of ability to speak loss of car keys(no kidding) disorientation giggles excessive sweating excessive drooling excessive use of the word excessive "metallic" or "tingly" sensation in mouth and throat mushroom breath acting dorky SPOS - Sudden Pass Out Syndrome Flushes dizziness buzzing feeling in the head (like when drunk) buzzing feeling in the body Altered sense of taste Altered sense of sight Altered sense of sense not knowing how to spell sense
If there's anything I'm leaving out, be sure to add =D

You couldn't tell anymore, demons and man were related, and some would say the same, but who would like to claim? In time, Gods had even forgot, Demons, too, once love had sought. In times recent I remember, Once I was a man, In my heart I had an ember, I'll relate the best I can but it was snuffed, one distant December. And yet here I stand, no flesh, no bones, no seed or semen, All that's left is this Demon.

I've read a lot of posts, in and out of shroomery, that express the "high" in waves. The first is much like Darklight mentions in that it is similar to alcohol but far more sluggish/drooly. The transition from 1st wave to 2nd is catalyzed by sleep and crazy dreams or vomitting. After the sleep or puking, the user feels refreshed and the second wave is compared to a rush of energy much like some form of speed.
I've not tried A. muscaria, so I can't speak from experience, but just reading about it doesn't sound too wonderful to me. I think I'll just stick to psilocybin.
