Bulk Substrate Setup?

Hey folks, some of you may know me from this post: http://www.shroomery.org/forums/favlinker.php?Cat=&Entry=13575&F_Board=Forum2&Thread=1293833&partnumber=&postmarker=
My HGC works fine, it's just sometimes a little humid and is limited to the space.
Now, when inoculating/preparing bulk quantities of straw, persay, you only need a large (25 gallon?) rubbermaid/sterlite tub and throw the straw directly in there to colonize, or put the straw in a pan or whatnot. How do you humidify this, and how do you inducing pinning on this etc.? Can I see some of your bulk substrate setups?
Thanks, daba

Humidity can be provided directly by moisture in the substrate during the spawn-run [around RH 90%], and later by misting for fruiting cycle [RH 95-100%].
Pinning is initiated by the above mentioned increase in RH, introduction of fresh air [1-3 changes per hour, manual fanning several times daily will work] and a drop in temperature [74-78 deg f.].
Once pinning is initiated the humidity requirements become somewhat less [RH 85-92%].
You can use any sized container you like [20, 40 qt. ect.] as long as you concider that contam risks increase with the increase in substrate volume.
There are a great many ways to do bulk grows and most bulk teks work well as long as you know what you are doing. in addition to this you might want to do a search for "bulk and Tek" to see how others have done it in the past to get a good idea of what has worked for others, what problems they have had, etc.

Attn PWN hunters: If you should come across a bluing Psilocybe matching P. pellicolusa please smell it.
If you detect a scent reminiscent of Anethole (anise) please preserve a specimen or two for study and please PM me.
