To find castings, try a nice garden supply store or nursery -- they are a bit of a luxury for gardeners, so you probably won't find them at your local *mart .... Also investigate some hydroponics shops -- I think Home Harvest (Google) has them at around $.60/#. The local shoppes around me charge like $1.50 to $2.00/#! Way too pricey.
