Has anyone had this? How do you get rid of the damn thing? I've ran multiple mal-ware programs and anti-virus programs but nothing is working?

I have it, its a pain in the ass but I'm too lazy to fix it. Using a different browser took care of the problem for a few weeks, but now they are both fucked up.

Yeah I have that shit too its fucking annoying.. I think it runs under the moniker of update.exe no malware removal I have will get rid of it but the process .rkill will take it down - or you can do it manually but it'll eventually restart itself.

(1) Click START > RUN > and type in "C:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts" (2) When prompted, open the HOSTS file in either Notepad or Wordpad (3) Delete all the lines of IP addresses in the text document except for "127.0.0.1 localhost".

Malware-bytes will almost certainly get rid of it.

Yeah its free and it doesn't ever fuck with you about upgrading... I ran a scan with malware bytes and it didn't find anything... but I haven't gotten the problem since trying a couple other things either

You are correct in thinking you have the "Search Redirect Virus". This virus is sporadically, it doesn't cause you to be redirected all the time. The hackers do not want you to realise that you have an infection because this virus actually makes money for them. This is why it is extremely difficult to remove, no anti virus can detect it (like hitman 3).
This is because of the way it manages to infect your system. Instead of causing an infection in the normal way, where it would attempt to install some malicious software or run a harmful process, which the anti virus can detect and prevent, the redirect virus actually infects a system file. This means it can hide deep in the system directories whilst being still active.
The thing about this virus is that it there are different types of it. Some will cause pop ups and redirect you all the time. Others will redirect you sporadically. One other type can actually cause your computer to act up totally, with the display settings change and your task bar going back to Windows classic etc. You appear to have a less abrasive type of the redirect virus, but you should still remove it before it causes other viruses to infect your system.
This can be done by using a program called ComboFix. I use this program a lot to remove this virus and it has not let me down so far. You will need a good tutorial as it can be quite complicated. I always use this one:

I helped a friend with this (yes, I have some).
Adaware, Spybot, Malwarebytes and others all failed miserably.
I finally got rid of it with Hitman Pro 3.5 http://www.hitmanpro.com

Step 1: Download FreeBSD. If you don't have UNIX-like OS experience, then get Linux Mint. If you refuse, fuckit, get a Win install disc.
Step 2: Back up your shit.
Step 3: Format; install. Partitioning optional.
Step 4: Grab drivers.
Step 5: ????
Step 6: Profit!
