Inoculate Reishi LC directly to suplimented sawdust bag?

Im a little confused about how to use supplemented sawdust bags/blocks when growing Reishi and Shiitake.
What Im gathering is that people make up Bags consisting of Woodchips, Sawdust, Verm, Gyp etc and supplementing with nutrients like Rice/Wheat/Rye bran. After sterilizing, do they simply inoculate these bags with a LC, or an Agar wedge?
I don't see much talk of inoculating grain jars then spawning to bulk so to speak.
When I see people inoculate grain jars, it appears they have to fruit them in the grain jar.
Any advice on this matter would be greatly appreciated. I have a recently purchased LC of Reishi and Shiitake, I have some Agar plates started of each.
I am hoping it is as simple as going directly from LC to these supplemented sawdust bags. Also I hope to be able to get results from both species using the same (or similar) substrate.
do I go LC -> Sup Sawdust Bags? Is it that simple?

Nope I would say most people go [agar/LC] -> grain -> final substrate. I start with agar and then spawn the grain to the sawdust bags. I think you would find that a much better process in the long run than using LC or agar directly. The grain has so much more volume that it really gets going fast in the sawdust bags.
That said I know some people have done direct inoculation of sawdust bags and it should work as long as everything is clean. I'll just take quite a bit longer to finish. In the end I think the intermediate grain step has lots of advantages.
EDIT: Also for Reishi specifically I have been using pasteurized cardboard for the final substrate. Any paper product will work as long as the ink is safe. I love the idea of turning all the cardboard waste in my apartment into reishis.

If using LC->Grain->Substrate. Would you still need to use the "Supplemented" substrate? (Adding Nutrients to the sawdust/cardboard)
Thanks for the help.

Guess it depends on the species. I usually still add bran as a supplement at about 10% of the total volume. I don't think it's a requirement but I have a big ass bag of bran so I'm gonna keep using it
I would guess for Reishi you wouldn't really need it since it does fine on very non-nutritive substrates.

I read up on it a little bit, It seems your right. People tend to add 1 quart grain spawn to 3-4quart supplemented sawdust bags.

you can go straight to your bulk substrate from LC but be warned that it takes some time and the substrate that you are injecting into must be fairly moist all the mycelium dies on contact with the dry substrate.
I have had success but generally it takes 2-3 times as long compared to grain spawn.
