Hey all, wasn't sure where to put this, but I'm in Portland on vacation til the 29the, and was curious what areas have decent hiking trails. I don't have a vehicle so it'll all have to be done via the light rail. I have been to the Hoyt Arboretum, and was curious about other similar places. I'm loving this city and the weather, lots of interesting things that keep my ADD satiated haha. Any info would be greatly appreciated as this is my first vacation in 9 years.

If you fail, don't look at it as you didn't succeed, look at it as you would a rock face you're trying to climb. Stand back, wayyyy back, and look at it and plot another path. If you can't find one, shuffle down the way a little, a little change of scenery or a view from a different angle may give you the insight you need.

Ah.. Too bad. I am gonna be doing some real hiking this weekend out in the woodses. We get some of the most secluded areas in the northwestern part of Oregon. I was say, as long as you aren't a serial killer then we could maybe arrange to pick you up.

To some, fallen trees are ugly. But in reality, it is the circle of life at its finest. This is a beautiful world, its time that we recognize that before its all gone."
